What is anthracite filter media
Anthracite filter material is made of high-quality raw coal, which is selected, crushed, and sieved twice. It has good gloss, spherical shape, high mechanical strength, good compressive performance, stable chemical performance, no toxic substances, and high wear resistance. It is insoluble in acidic, neutral and alkaline water. In addition, the anthracite particles have rough surface, good adsorption capacity, large porosity (≥52%), and high pollution capacity.

Anthracite filter media application
Anthracite filter material combined with quartz sand filter material is the best material for double-layer fast filter, three-layer filter and filter tank. It is the most effective way to increase the filtration rate, increase the water yield per unit area, double improve the sewage interception capacity, reduce the project cost and the floor area. It is widely used in water treatment of chemical industry, metallurgy, thermoelectricity, pharmacy, papermaking, printing and dyeing, food, etc.
Anthracite Filter Media are filtration materials for turbidity and SS removal. Since the specific gravity is lighter than that of Filter Sand, it is much used in combination with Filter Sand in dual-media filtration, to consist reverse grain layers after backwashing. In addition, because of high content carbon of this product, it has high resistance to various chemicals and high physical strength so that it is widely used for city and industrial water purification.
